Good nail polish for fair skin?

I have really, really pale skin. What colors of nail polish should I use?

My feet are almost purple with paleness, so what should I use on those?Good nail polish for fair skin?
use pale colors

a shocking navy really isn't gonna help you look less paleGood nail polish for fair skin?
Unfortunately, bold colors like scarlet red or dark blue won't do it on your complexion, they'll just make you look even paler. try going for lighter colors like light blue, green, pink, mauve, etc. I don't think orange nail polish ever looks good on anyone, but experiment.
Both Sally Hansen and OPI have online tools that may be of use. I would recommend intermediate shades--taupes and mauves would provide a useful baseline palette. Sally Hansen does have what I estimate to be a satisfactory wildcard deep for darker outfits--Nail Prisms in #08 Amber Ruby Frost.

The OPI Studio has a search function for finding lacquers by tone group, and accurately displays paint as viewed on a hand of one of five skin-tone groups.

Addendum: Saritah, I was able to ID the OPI lacquer shade ';OP-I Love this Color'; as Part No. NLA-33. This may still be available--it is listed under /Classics/Classics.asp as ID# 306, but is not one of the selections for preview in /OPI/OPIStudio.aspx
no bright colors, they will make you look paler. I would reccomend a not dark, but nice soft color that will give your hands not so much a pale look but a fair look.

sincerely,

Bob
lighter colors, since dark , bold colors make your skin look even more pale!!!!!!!!!!

try a light pink. that would be cute and would make your skin look less pale
silver, pink, some reds
I'm super pale and I find that lighter colors (light pink, etc.) actually wash me out more because they blend in too much with my skin. I really love dark, slightly metallic crimson on my fingernails. Of course it makes me look pale, but it contrasts my skin in a good way. My favorite shade is by OPI and it is called ';OP-I Love This Color!';

I have yet to figure out what to do about my purple feet. I have used every nail polish shade under the sun and they all look pretty bad on my purple-y feet.
try royale blue or a plum colour maybe.use colours which are not very light.on your feet try silver, golds %26amp; coppers!
Bright red nails on pale skin is a really striking thing. It's in no way a bad thing.
i like orange nail polish! its cool! also pink is great in any case or even red! hey and french manicures look nice on anybody! just use a nail color that u like!

I keep getting these tiny blisters type things under my skin on fingers, near the nail. What are these?

whereas web forum such as this might be useful for several purposes, I think when it comes to your health, it is much beneficial to see your primary health provider(Dr).

Anyone have any natural remedies to help with hair, nails & skin?

Lately my hair has gone frizzy, nails have got weak %26amp; skin has started splotching. Does anyone know of any natural ways to help fix this?

Do i need more vitamin B or zinc something like this?

Any advice is much appreciated, thankyouAnyone have any natural remedies to help with hair, nails %26amp; skin?
Well, you've got a few answers that will help a little, but mostly for the skin... there are quite a number of things that help the hair and nails as well. Some of the most popular ones are Biotin, Silica (commonly from Horsetail), Squalene, Hyaluronic Acid, MSM, Fo-ti (also called He-Shou-Wu), L-Cysteine, Omega-6 fatty acids (like those in Borage or Evening Primrose Oils), Collagen, and most antioxidants. B Vitamins and Zinc can help a little, but not as much as most of these herbs (especially the Biotin and Silica).

Also, remember that these will primarily help with the new hair and nails that are growing in, not what's already there. You may want to get a moisturizing shampoo and/or a Calcium/strengthening treatment for your nails. Good luck!Anyone have any natural remedies to help with hair, nails %26amp; skin?
For skin, rubbing olive oil in is good - it has no chemicals in unlike normal body lotion or moisturiser. Generally taking vitamins will help all of this. If you go into a health food shop they will have lots of specific natural things for this, which work really well and the shop assistants will not what to recommend.
I agree with OldTimeKid2.....The herb Horsetail contains silica which strengthens connective tissue, hair and fingernails.

It sounds like you may have a nutrient deficiency. Maybe taking a B-complex

I'd also look into taking Dandelion root to help to help cleanse the liver as it appears your body may be trying to detox.
Try a product called maxi hair by country life. My hair has gotten thicker and stronger.

lots of people gave good suggestions, but this product has the b vitamins and msm, but no silica in it. It is still good.

extra biotin or msm is good, it may cause you to break out some. If you try it and it does this just drink extra water and give your body time to adjust to it.
vitamin a and e are god for hair and nails, also make sure your getting a balanced diet and not under a lot of stress, these things also cause problems with hair and nails.

I'd get some Cod Liver Oil. My aunt used it all her life and is 89 with thick hair and NO lines under her Eyes. It comes in a pill and you need to get 1000 mg. Try it. You will see!
Take a multivitamin and eat more protein..........
I take prenatal vitamins and they are great. Take a half of one after a mean once a day.
    Take evening primrose oil

%26amp; my nails are growing like crazy!! but my hair hasnt budged AT ALL what can i do to make my hair start growing..

i dont even want it to grow ';fast'; it just doesnt seem to grow ..at all.. what can i doIve been taking hair skin %26amp; nail vitamins for about 2 months now..?
Just taking vitamins will barely do anything. You need a full system.

I wanted to make my hair grow fast last year cause I wanted a longer style, so I looked online for something to help me. I eventually ended up at the website www.howtogrowhairfast.com.

So I bought the guide (which didn't cost much), and the techniques and recipes worked like a miracle!!! I was so surprised at how fast my hair started growing. It was awesome. So if you got a couple bucks to spare, I say you mind as well check out that guide. I'm glad I did. It was the best purchase I ever made. :) Other people have recommended it as well.Ive been taking hair skin %26amp; nail vitamins for about 2 months now..?
I'm glad that the vitamins seem to be working for you nails, but usually, one must just eat well and maintain their bodies.

Many times, the reason that one's hair grows slow or fast is due to their genetics and grooming habits. You may be out of luck on that one. Maybe you could work with the length that you have and get a cut that works with your face. You may even consider extensions if it is that important to you.
Make sure you're geting it trimmed as much as you need to. (Every 6 weeks). If you keep off the dead ends, it helps hair to grow longer, healthier, and faster.

i was thinking of trying the ones from GNC but wanted to make sure that you liked them? also what exactly do they do for your hair and skin? thanks!Has anyone used skin hair and nail vitamins?
They have more biotin and inositol in them. Only the dosages are higher. Prenatal vitamins are good, but they have more folic acid and more iron for the baby. So its your choice. Compare them and see. Hope this helps. God bless.Has anyone used skin hair and nail vitamins?
Prenatal Viatims work just as good - less expensive!

What does a blueish dot under my skin by my finger nail mean???

Does anyone know what this means.. or why I have it...???

please help!!What does a blueish dot under my skin by my finger nail mean???
    Hi;

陌f you use a blue pen that is sharp enough it can be its paint. But if you say it doesn't look like that it is probably a blue nevus. A blue nevus is an ordinary nevus with only a different colour. It is not a big deal so do not worry. 陌f it gets biger or if it start to change colour go to a doctor. And if there is sattelite nevuses around it you have to go to a doctor. It can cause skin cancer if it is the way I describe. But not so possible. Anyway don't be allarmed. OK?

    Get well soon;

MD. Hazer AyvazWhat does a blueish dot under my skin by my finger nail mean???
probably just blood. Look up splinter hemorrhages to see if you have any history which would lead to these small hemorrhages which indicate something more serious.
It might be a blood blister, or if there's some pain around it when you move it it might be a splinter.

  • Do those vitamins specifically for hair, nails and skin really work?

Or can you get the same basic results from drinking lots of water and taking a multi-vitamin.Do those vitamins specifically for hair, nails and skin really work?
Well, if you're using the right vitamins and you need the benefits, absolutely!

The biggest ingredients that help for healthy hair, skin, and nails are Biotin (one of the B vitamins), MSM, Silica (often from Horsetail), Hyaluronic Acid, L-Cysteine, and some of the other B vitamins.

One of the other posters was technically right about the pre-natal vitamins... but that's because they have a lot of B vitamins, especially Biotin and Folic Acid, plus women take them for many months.

The biggest problem with hair/skin/nail products is the expectations of the people taking them.... they don't realize that it affects the health of the NEW hair, skin, and nails, and that those take a few months to see the new growth. Many people expect pills to help quickly and assume that it would work on the hair/nails that have already grown... but it doesn't.

A multivitamin will help a little with hair, skin, and/or nails because it will have some small amount of the B vitamins... but there's not very much. Also, another major deciding factor of if or how well a hair/skin/nail product will work for you is if you're lacking the nutrition... meaning if your nails aren't very healthy to start with. If your hair/nails aren't very healthy, I'd say give it a shot for a few months... your skin should be healthier, and you should see the roots of your hair and the base of your nails being much healthier. Good luck!Do those vitamins specifically for hair, nails and skin really work?
I know that Pre-Natel Vitamins really work for hair and nail growth you dont have to be pregnant to take them theres lots of good vitamins in them and your hair and nails will really grow
I don't think so. I took them for a month and didn't notice any difference. Recently I started taking a multivitamin for women every day, although with eating better (making sure I was getting plenty of fruits and veggies) and drinking a lot of water. I noticed that my nails have become healthier just from that.
The supplement really only works when the person really needs the extra supplement. For some people a multi vitamin isn't enough for certain things. If you have rough or course hair and terrible nails, then taking extra supplements of Vitamins C and E should help.
The vitamins that are specifically for hair nails and skin do help, a little. A multi-vitamin won't necesarrily help. I wouldn't spend your money on them though. Just eat more healthy, drink a lot of water, and eat meat. The protein in meat helps to make your hair healthier and shinier.

How can you stop biting your nails and skin?

I have been biting my nails and skin forever! And i want it to stop.I always want long nails.I tried buying those glue on ones but it just hurts when i take it off.Anyways i just bite the plastic then it becomes ugly.Ha ha. Well can anyone help me?Please? How can you stop biting your nails and skin?
ok i used to bite my nails! a LOT and skin too.

have you ever tried those clear nail polishes that taste really badly?

well one of this days you should go and get it and put it in your nails, it is kinda like an addictinon i mean its really hard to stop! i am not saying that the nail polish will stop you immediately but it will make you bite less since its flavor is DISGUSTING and its made for people to stop biting. but you also have to try on your own i mean nail polish you can always avoid or try to take off with your mouth/hands but you gotta think. do i really want to have this ugly nails? wouldn't i like pretty nails and get complimented about it?

you can also get a manicure or do a manicure to yourself because when you see your nails pretty, sometimes you don't want to ruin them so you don't bite as much. but im telling you all this things help but you gotta help too WILL POWER!

i hope i helped i had the grossest nails and now they are fastly progressing! How can you stop biting your nails and skin?
Think about how low your nail beds will be. I used to bite my nails, and now they are very low and my nails grow out instead of straight. They are hard to cut neatly without going too short. You could also try the clear nail polish that tastes bad. It didn't work for me, though. I just bit through it! Just think about how terrible your nails could look if you continue. That might be enough. Good luck stopping!
they have products at the beauty supply store. my daughter bit her nails so bad that it looked terrible. the stuff had cayenne pepper so it burned her mouth when she bit them. eventually she stopped the habit.

How do I heal my nails and skin on them?

I forget the name for the part of the nail that meets the actual skin..but mine is always peeling and damaged. I do bite my nails a lot though..anyone know anything? How do I heal my nails and skin on them?
They're cuticles. It could be a loss of vitamins. (same here) If THAT doesn't help, I found this very interesting website that fits perfectly to YOUR problem (and mine. :) ) Okie dokie, here it is!

Adapted from the February 2005 issue of Organic Style Magazine (Rodale Press).

This luscious-sounding formula--fondly called “Hot Buttered Thumb”--was designed by the owner of a Los Angeles nail salon to nourish chapped skin and heal split cuticles. It uses warm milk to help break down dead skin and brown sugar to gently slough it off--and it is deliciously scented with cinnamon and spiced rum.

SIMPLE SOLUTION: Find out the nail salon secret for smooth, healed hands, even in the coldest winter weather. It sounds so divinely soothing and warming:

    INGREDIENTS

    1/2 cup brown sugar

    1/2 cup spiced rum

    dash nutmeg

    1 cup milk, heated

2 to 3 drops cinnamon essential oil

    2 hand towels

    2 quart-size plastic bags

    1. In a bowl, mix brown sugar, rum, and nutmeg to a scrub consistency. Fill another bowl with the warmed milk and cinnamon oil.

    2. Soak hands in milk for 2 to 3 minutes.

    3. Massage the exfoliating scrub onto hands and slough off dead skin; rinse with warm water.

    4. Wet the hand towels with hot water. Pat hands dry and apply a moisturizer.

    5. Slide hands into plastic bags and wrap each with a warm, wet hand towel; let sit for 5 minutes and then remove.

I hope that works for you! I will try it too! Good luck! =D

How can I stop nail/skin biting?

Ok...well, i'm not sure when this all got started, but I have a horrible habit of biting off the skin around my nails. I guess it's because it's something I can chew on and it doesn't hurt...until later. Usually it's on the side and under the cuticle. Sometimes, i'll bite and pick at the skin until it bleeds. I would really like to stop because after a while it really starts to hurt. And also i'm a nail biter. I've been biting my nails for years and I wanna stop. Nail polish doesn't work for me. I always end up chewing right through the polish. Does anyone have any good tips for me?How can I stop nail/skin biting?
I had the exact same problem with the nail biting, but some how I just got over it.

I've heard of this stuff you put on your nails that makes them taste gross, so when you bite them you'll never want to bite them again! I don't know what it's called but they should have it at a chemist. How can I stop nail/skin biting?
I used to have the same problem. The polish doesn't work at all. I stopped when i found a glob of sticky tack and wound up messing with that, It kept my hands busy and away from my face. But when I didn't have the sticky tack I'd start all over again. Then I got a kneaded eraser and that I carried everywhere, eventually I got out of the habit. :) My advice is to just find something you can fiddle with and carry around everywhere, eventually you'll stop :)
First i sucked my thumb (i was little) then age eight my mum bet me that it i could stop sucking my thumb she would get me a dog (she thought i couldn't do it) so i stopped then i bite my nails (age8) i realized i had to stop because i kept getting bad bellies so i replaces my habit by skin biting (age 11) but i started to go abit to far because my fingers wouldn't stop bleeding so i asked my mum how to stop and she said its because i get nervous so i tried some stress relieving technique's it worked so ti stop biting your nails and skin you can

Bribe yourself/get somebody to bribe you

replace you Habit with a better one

    try some stress relieving techniques

my best friend's little sister painted her nails and she got nail polish all over her hands and my friend is wondering, will it come off overnight or something?Does nail polish come off skin over time?
Just use nail polish remover on your skin. It doesn't hurt as long as there are no open cuts or anything.Does nail polish come off skin over time?
YES it will :) Thank goodness, eh? Why they invented nail polish remover :) That also works, so does the age old method, warm soapy water and a good ol' cloth ought to do the trick well! It will come off I'm sure of it! I think I got some on me when I was reaaally young, but it does come off quite easily :) Sharpee, on the other hand, if permanent, IS something you have to get off ASAP because it does leek into the skin somewhat, and is harder to take off the longer its there but the nail polish, even with the remover will take it off no problemo!

Also, alcohol will do the trick nicely too, but I wouldn't advise the nail polish remover, reserve that for the nails alone. You may get it off in one night, but you may be there awhile scrubbing to get it off. Either method will work I'm positive so no worries! Nail polish is one of the easiest messes to remove even off of the skin :) You will may have to scrub quite a bit but it will come off. Nail polish will even chip and come off on its own over time, what is was also designed for. Even in skin you may be able to scratch it off with nails too! As it will probably chip if it is over her hands :)
It will come off eventually but you could use a little nail polish remover on the heavily painted parts as long as there are no cuts in the skin. The polish remover will hurt if there is an open cut and is not recommended. If the nail polish is on the skin just a little then it will wear off, but not overnight. It all depends on how much skin she painted. Good Luck!
Use a mild nail varnish remover and pad and gently rub the hands over this will help it loosen.

Next get some warm bubbly water and steep her hands in for around 20 mins, this should loosen.

My little sister did this bright red and within 2 days after doing this it was gone :)

    You should be fine.
Yes, it does come off of skin over time, but no overnight.

When I get some nail polish on my skin, I usually just take a cotton ball, wet it with Nail Polish Remover, then dab it on my skin where the nail polish is, it takes it off :)
yes of course. have her soak her hands in warm water with soap. have her scrub with a wash cloth. don't use nail polish remover to try to remove the polish.
you could always use nail polish remover on it and it will come off or you can wash your hands and soon enough it will come off over time.
It does come off over time, but it would be a lot easier to put some nail polish remover on a cotton ball and rub it over her hands.
Using nail polish remover and washing your hands thoroughly should do the trick. You have to scrub hard depending on how much she spilled.
yes it comes off over night.

you can take it off with nailpolish remover as well.

taking a bath or shower helps too.
use nail polish remover or wask it really good with water and soap.If u leave it though it will eventually come off.
yes it will wear off in about a week or so. If you want it to come off sooner. Use non acetone nail polish remover.

  • Will hair, skin and nail vitamins help with spots and problem skin?

I know this is a typically obvious answer, but the best thing for your skin is water...drink lots of it, your skin will come out in spots whilst its cleansing, but it does work!

Oh and stay away from chocolate!! lolWill hair, skin and nail vitamins help with spots and problem skin?
i've used the garnier nutrioniste renewal exfoliator and moisturizer with a charcoal masque. and im very pleased with the results. i got noticeable results after the first useWill hair, skin and nail vitamins help with spots and problem skin?
More information is needed to answer this question. What kind of spots and skin problems are you talking about?
That's a tricky question to answer, primarily because ';skin health'; can mean different things to different people. Some people get perfectly even skin, some people get more lubricated skin (which is sometimes too oily), some people get drier skin (if it's too oily already), etc, etc.

Quite literally, the only way to be sure is to try it out for yourself for a few weeks. Most supplements can take anywhere from a few days to a month to notice the full benefits (depending on your system). However, ones that are for your hair and nails often take a few months because it takes a few months for your hair and nails to grow out enough to see the new healthy growth.

    Beginner Hair/Nail/Skin care?

My mom never really taught me how to take care of my skin, hair, and nails, so I was wondering what routine things I should do to keep my hair strong, soft and shiny, my nails clear and healthy, and my skin blemish free and soft. I'm a novice so any help is appreciated. I was told avacados and egg in your shampoo helps, but I'm not sure. What should I do every day to keep myself healthy and the above areas healthy and looking great? Also I was wondering how to get rid of the little bit of acne I have, and how to erase the scars they left behind. Also, I lost a lot of weight recently, and I was wondering what (besides moisturizers) I could use to lighten those up. Natural remedies would be appreciated. Thank you very much! :)Beginner Hair/Nail/Skin care?
I use Ehow.com and get a TON of ideas about remedies and such. (DEF check this out and look them up...lots of info on here!)

But watch what you eat that deal with grease and fat. The avocado/egg recipe is good, I use it all summer to keep my hair from breaking because of the sun and chlorine. Also, Mayonnaise(believe it or not) does a great job with shine and softness. Some shampoos work too.

Wash your face every night with either a facewash formula from the store or scrub that is easy on the skin. you don't want to use something that is too rough if your skin isn't in great trouble. The scars will disappear with time.

For your nails, if you paint them, put a base coat or clear nailpolish on them first before painting color. This will keep the colored paint from turning them yellow. If you dont' paint them, just keep them clipped and clean.Beginner Hair/Nail/Skin care?
Sleep helps skin alot. Make sure u change your pillow case at least once a week because all the dirt from your face will get on it and it will keep getting on your face/hair evey night. Make sure u drink lots of water and eat fruit! Nexxus is a really good shampoo, makes my hair really soft and healthy.

    hope i helped! :)

please tell me the brand name of these vitamins 4 men. idk why all the vitamins say ';women'; on them. There are no girly hormones in them.Skin hair nail vitamins for men?
There is a product called hair, skin and nail that I believe is made by natures bounty. As far as the other products that say for ';women'; on it, it is usually just marketing. Check the list of ingredients, they should primarily be vitamins. Both men and women can take them.

I already take alot of vitamins.

And I drink alot of water daily.

    Any other suggestions?

Thanks! How can I make my nails/hair grow? How can i get beautiful hands/nails/hair/skin?How to get rid of acne scars?
sally hansen has nail growth stuff and it works pretty good. use lotion on your hands i guess? and you can't make your hair grow without extensions or something, but if you straighten/curl your hair, use protectant spray to protect the split ends. leaving conditioner in your hair for a really long time is also a good way. as for the acne scars, there's really nothing you can do to make them go away, but try signing up for the tanning salon in the winter, or sit out in the sun in the summer cause tans help them look invisible. truth is the scars actually go away in about a year or so... :/

Try a shampoo formulated for your hair. If you go to the drugstore, you will see many shampoo's for frizzy, straight, colour treated hair and many more. I also suggest Garnier, because it has many vitamins and is very good for your hair. Keeping it VERY strong, shiny and gorgeous.

Hairsprays, they can be good and bad. They hold your hair in place, but also dry out, and cause split ends. If you HAVE to use it every day, get regular haircuts for the split ends, (i.e. once of three, four or five months) Hair dryers, are good but also dry out your hair. They are good if you need to style a certain style for your hair, or if your in a rush. Other than that, letting your hair dry naturally, can keep it looking great. Shampoo is a must to get nice clean hair, and conditioner makes your hair soft and shiny, and does not let it dry out, but does not get over-oily.

    What to do:

Well, you go to take a shower. Turn it on to luke warm water (so not hot but not cool) Shampoo(lather) wait a few seconds for it to sink in, rinse well. Apply conditioner. Now conditioner needs to be left in longer, so shave, wash yourself while the conditioner sinks in. Then after you are done rinse the conditioner well. It may be abit hard, but remember for shampoo and conditioner, a small amount about just bigger than a quarter should be applied evenly to your hair.

When you get out of the shower rap your hair in a towel. Do whatever you have to do, wash face etc...

After that, let your hair out(your hair should be damp)

Maybe if you want, blow dry with a brush too, running brush through hair. To add volume, blow dry upside down.

    Home Remedies:

Applying coconut oil (found at grocery stores) to your hair, is very good leaving it healthy looking. Apply for about 1 hour, then wash out normally. This may leave your hair oily, so i suggest a VERY small amount or mix with your shampoo abit.

Rinsing your hair with vinegar, is a very good way to leave it nice and clean. This leaves your hair so nice and clean. But it will take a few days to get the smell out... :P so again, very little, wash your hair with a few drops. Or apply with shampoo. (Then ofcourse wash hair normally)

Coffee, helps richen and darken brown hair.(rinse with dark hair leave in for 2 mins, rinse)

%26amp; Lemons help lighten blonde hair.(squeeze lemon juice into hair, on a nice sunny day sit outside, or leave your hair for about an hour)

You will have to do both of these to see a real difference.

Tea tree is also very good, you can find it at drugstores (Tea Tree Oil)

    Nail care:

Well nails are pretty easy. But you HAVE to buy some things for this. You will need:

Nail File, Top Coat, Nail Polish (optional),Tea Tree Oil,Nail clipper,Cuticle Cream

Nail files, really any brand is good, drugstores is where you can find all of this, sometimes even some salons.

Nail files keep your nails short and in shape.

Top Coat, which is a clear nail polish, helps protect your nails from cracking, chipping, and any other type of damage. I suggest a nourishing kind, with vitemans. Nail Polish, makes your nails look nice :) But put on a base coat to avoid staining nails, two coats of nail polish, two coats of a top coat. And ofcourse, a nail clipper to trim nails. Cutical cream (i suggest burt's bee's lime cuticle softner), softens that skin around the nail, and if you look at the bottom of your nail, there is a layer of skin, kind of on the nail. Usaully that can get to hard, so using a cuticle cream can soften and flake off any dead skin.

    Remedies:

Tea Tree oil. You know that tea tree oil for your hair? Yep. Leave it on your nails (a drop) rub it in abit, so the nails are damp, leave it on, 20 minutes or 10 minutes, then your nails will be very healthy! There is also top coats that contain tea tree oil.

Skin Care ( my favourite! )

I ALWAYS suggest spectro derm. Now, you sound like you have acne, as you said :P

So, i suggest the sensitive, acne cleanser from spectro. It is frangrance free and it wont irratate skin, you should see an improvement in a few days to a week. Also there is Spectro hydrocare, moisturizers. Acne one (again)They are labelled. Then spectro has acne treatments, not sure what they are, because i have the opposite of acne. So it might be a cream?

    How to:

Wash face morning and night with luke warm water, apply gel (yes it is a gel cleanser) all over face, gently massage into face for about 1 min. Rinse with warm water. Rinse with cool water to close pores. Pat face dry. Apply moisturizer (Not too much). Wait 30 seconds. Pat exfess moisture off) Apply acne treatment ot any acne.

Exfoliate once a week, maybe sunday night. So splash warm water on face. Apply ST.IVES APRICOT SCRUB BLACKHEAD AND BLEMISH PRONE SKIN. Rub in gently for one min. Then Rinse(with warm then cold water).Beginner Hair/Nail/Skin care?
I had to go through the same thing too so i relied a lot on magazines such as seventeen and cosmo girl. For me, i use a deep conditioner every week to keep my hair healthy, soft, shiny, and strong. Also, try not to use any heat products too much becuase that will cause your hair to become damaged and fragile. You will also notice split ends. If you do get some, don't worry. Just make a visit to a salon and get your hair trimmed. You're supposed to get your hair trimmed every 6 months to keep it from having any split ends. For nails, i give my self a mani and pedi every 2 weeks. Stopping at the nail salon is fine, if you are willing to pay that much when you can spend less at home. I first remove any left over polish i have. Then soak your hands in soapy warm water for 5 minutes. Then trim your nails(not too far, just until you see a bit of white) and buff them to a nice shape that you prefer. Next add some cuticle oil. Finally, add a base coat or clear nail polish, 2 layers of a polish of your choice, and another coat of clear nail polish or a top coat. For toes, i do the same thing. For skin, i recomend buying face masks and using them once a week. You don't have to go out and buy an expensive mask. Any mask will do. I use the cheap 3 dollar ones from Wal Mart. Wash your face daily with any face wash that fits your skin type. If you have oily skin, look for oil free clensers. If you have normal skin you are free to use any scrub you would like. I like the apricot scrub from Target! Do these daily and you'll end up looking perfectly polished! hope that helped!

I have brown skin, do you think bright red nail polish would look good on me and if so would match my clothes?

if not what else because i really want to know?I have brown skin, do you think bright red nail polish would look good on me and if so would match my clothes?
Do a french manicure. It will look gorgeous with your skin color and will match anything you wear. Everyone will compliment you, too.I have brown skin, do you think bright red nail polish would look good on me and if so would match my clothes?
I have brown skin myself but I don't normally wear bright red on my nails at all. It really depends on lifestyle. I'm a professional, so most of the time, I just get my nails done and leave them french manicured. All I do is put clear, glossy nail polish over them and leave it. Sorry if I wasn't much help!
With brown skin you can wear any nail polish you want and still look good. Have fun try different shades to match your outfits. Bright tropical colors will really stand out and make a statement. The red will work too ! You can use the red a staple that would go with any oufit...and use other colors with specific outfits as you please.
yea .......... i paint mine red all the time i think it will look cute!
Depends on your age and the clothes. If you're very young or very old, bright red might look tacky.

Otherwise, the polish would look fine with red or other bright primary-colored clothes. If you wear black, white, bright yellow, or almost any shade of blue, the red should look great.

If you're wearing pastel clothes, get pastel polish. If you have on a pale pink sweater with a mint green skirt, bright red would probably clash.
Oh yeah! As long as it all matches it'll look good.
I am brown-skinned too and I absolutely HATE the way red looks on my nails or feet. I love the way a light pink looks on me.
I dont think it will look that pretty but maybe a not so bright one would be better
    yea
red nail polish would looks great on you. true red would be best. matching clothes is best when wearing red polish or lipstick.
You don't need your polish to match your clothes unless you plan on changing it every single time you change clothes. That's time consuming %26amp; a waste of polish. Pick a shade that you like %26amp; wear it for a day or two. Then change it if you want a different color.
that should look pretty against your skin. maybe try a bergundy shade. it should match most of ur clothes and if it dosnt does it really matter?

    Nail/Skin/Lip biting problem?

I have a very bad habit of biting my nails, and the skin around my nails. I've been biting them for 3 years now. It's become a big problem because I have permanantly damaged my fingers. I've tried everything I can think of to stop biting my nails and skin. (skin is more of the problem). I've tried things to stop chewing my skin and nails, but it seems if I stop then I start to chew my cheeks and lips a lot! When I chew my cheeks they bleed a lot, but they heel faster than my fingers do.. and it doesn't hurt. I simply cannot stop. It's like an addiction. And most of the time I don't even realize I'm doing it! I find that I chew the most when I'm stressed. (exams were not long ago... and my fingers are... well, not in the best shape) I've always told myself I'll just stop it over time.. but it's been three years now...

Any ideas on how to stop? Anyone know why I do this? I don't know anyone else who has the same problem as me...

Any thoughts or opinions?Nail/Skin/Lip biting problem?
I have the same problem with my nails. I simply cannot stop biting them...

I think the problem starts with your nails. Try putting on a sort of chemical on the that's not dangerous so when you do go to bite your nails, you'll taste that horrible chemical taste and so you don't end up ill from putting dangerous chemicals in your mouth. I think there are certain chemicals like that...

Also, try nail varnish. When I had varnish on (I rarely have it on thanks to crummy school) I didn't bite my nails at all but then we went back to school and had to take it off again :(

Also, try a manicure. You'll like how it looks and wouldn't want to ruin that. If you're not biting your nails, you won't bite your fingers...

Try and carry some gum with you most of the time too so you won't start biting your cheeks. If you do have the urge to bite something, simply chew gum. But don't chew too much of it because it could cause stomach ulcers if you chew it way too often but that's unlikely.

    Hope I helped!

    dont waste your money
My uncle lost his hair, eyebrows, eyelashes etc due to severe stress, and after 5-6 years or so he went to a place where they massaged his head and spine with a machine that simply was like an epilady machine. (he did not have any hair at all) After a few months his hair started growing back. So i think the vibration from the massaging helped him.

Stepped on a rusty nail and barely pierced the skin?

i barely steped on a rusty nail and it pierced the skin but only like a little bit and i mean like just the skin like cutting yourself with a knife and right after i washed it in warm water and soap and then soaked it in first aid alcohol do you think ill be fine?Stepped on a rusty nail and barely pierced the skin?
I'd suggest getting a tetnus shot, or booster if you haven't had one in the last 10 years or so. You never know when you'll be exposed to the stuff. Generally speaking surface wounds aren't enough for lock jaw to get going. It needs a nice deep wound where it's dark, moist and warm. It is possible for things to develop if you don't keep a shallow wound deep, but it's usually a deep wound.Stepped on a rusty nail and barely pierced the skin?
get a tetanus booster if you haven't already had one in the past 10 years.
You should immediately have your penis amputated dumbass
Have you gotten your Teatnus shot in the last 10 years? I hope so... Though, you probably would have had signs of lock-jaw by now, but that's the only concern... otherwise, just dont' do any running so that you can let it heal and you should be fine enough....
I think you are ok, you washed it out and disinfected it. it wasn't deep enough to leave bacteria in the cut.
You should suspect tetanus if a cut or wound is followed by one or more of these symptoms:

Stiffness of the neck, jaw, and other muscles, often accompanied by a grotesque, grinning expression.

    Irritability.

Uncontrollable spasms of the jaw and neck muscles.

Painful, involuntary contraction of other muscles.

In some cases, symptoms will develop in the absence of any cut or wound that you can recall. In addition, you may notice restlessness, lack of appetite and drooling.

You are bitten by an animal or wounded by an object that might be contaminated with dirt, feces, or dust, and you have not been immunized against tetanus or received a booster within the last 5 years. Tetanus infection can be fatal and should be treated as soon as possible.
Type tetanus shot in your search engine and see if you think you need one. I can't really say, as I can't see how deep your wound is and you should consult with your Dr.
To get tetanus, need deep penetrating wound, but stranger things have happened. So I would suggest you see a nurse/doctor and then follow their advice.

What nail polish color should a girl with fair skin use?

well i'm italian , french, and indian !...lol , and i had a medium skin tone. What nail polish color should a girl with fair skin use?
I would go with pink colors, I have medium light skin tone and pink seems to always work for me, medium pink colors all the way to hot pink, which I love and I am wearing now.

PS...If it chips you can always re-apply it :-)What nail polish color should a girl with fair skin use?
Skin tone is not the issue. You can choose any color you want but if you have shorter fingers use light colors only on your hands or it will only make your fingers look shorter. If your fingers are slim you can wear any dark or light color but please no funky colors like yellow blue purple or green. Black can look sophisticated it you have a steady hand. On your feet wear any color you want light or dark it will look good but still no funky colors.
Any color! I have fair skin as well and I tend to use darker shades. With summer right around the corner I like to use all shades of pinks %26amp; peaches.

Right now I am using HOPE by Barielle. You can see swatches of it below.
you absolutely cannot go wrong with an opaque baby pink. it looks great on any skin tone, with any outfit, and it's very forgiving and won't look terrible if it chips the way a bright polish would.
You could try a french manicure. They look good on everyone.
u can use anything, although i think all white nails look cheap

What colour nail varnish suits brown skin?

    brown like my avatar

im addicted to them not, im typing and my nails look nice, i have dark red on today,

what coulours, what is the best make and how much are theyWhat colour nail varnish suits brown skin?
Alot of colours would suit your brown skin. As alot of the other people have said, metallic colours like bronze, gols and silver will look really nice. Different shades of reds, and also hot pink will look good. There are loadsa brands, but i would choose one that says it lasts long to stop chipping. Try Rimmel for cheaper ones, or Estee Lauder - it's quite expensive, about 拢14 for one but i found it lasts longer than the cheaper brands. Hope that helps xWhat colour nail varnish suits brown skin?
    colours:

    gold (beautiful!!!)

    Black

    Dark Dark Red

    Dark blue

basically dark colours. if u have lovely shaped long nails then u can go for brighter colours. jst steer clear of bright pink, yellow and orange!!
    black.
light or metallic colours to give a constrast; yellow, baby blue, white, pearl, cream. Also research on the omline or in magazines for famous women who wear nail polish and that also have ur colour skin tone.
Well July Seventeen has a nail polish guide giving you shades for your skin tone [1 nude color, 1 bright color, and 1 dark color]

Depending on what brown you are [there's only a few avatar colors so i doubt that's your actual skin color]

for Bronze [Beyonce if you want a referance] there's Essie Polish in Iced Chai Latte [Nude color, $8, essie.com]

Tropez Super Pearl Nail Enamel in Miami Pearl [an orange, $2, drugstores]

Rescue Beauty Lounge Nail Polish in Black Russian [a dark polish with red hints, $18, rescuebeauty.com]

for Deep [Jennifer Hudson] theres Black Radiance Calcium Enriched Nail color in Antique [Nude, $2, drugstores]

Chanel Nail Colour in Heatwave [red/orange, $18, departement stores]

Revlon Dark PLeasures Blacker Lacquer in Steel-etto [metallic silver, $6, drugstores]

That's all from Seventeen. I'm not really good at picking out nail polishes over the internet or anything. The way I do it is by going to stores and holding the color up to my hand to see. You're probably more of a deep if you are close to your avatar but you can still try out the bright orange Tropez Nail polish and so on. I hope that helped
    bright red will look hott
Even though i'm not dark, but olive toned, I have a bronze colour that would prolly be nice. I think it was rimmel star shine or something. (sorry, i'm not too girly and i can't remember the exact name)

When i take a fancy for a new shade, i just go somewhere like Boots or superdrug and take a nosey at what they have. I don't always buy one, but it gives you an idea of what's out there. Good Luck Chica! ;)
    try max factor black
any metallic coloured nail varnish, especially gold looks stunning, try rimmel, usually about 拢3.50.
Theirs a golden, sandy color by covergirl called Be-My-Honey, Its like 2 bucks.
i always think that a nice french polish looks amazing on darker skin
well! im brown skin coloured my self and i just use any colour! i usualy use black with lookz nicley with some nice pink dimontiez at the corner of each finger!!! i get my black from claires and its only 拢2.50!!! hope i help!!! xoxox
    Pink is fabby
A really bright matte pink would look great on your skin tone, try one from the No7 range at about 6.50 a bottle
Try creamy colours they'll stand out against your skin.
you should try hot colours pink to fushia is doesn't matter if brown skin you can use any varnish.
Purpley colours always look good on dark skin
Barry M and Gosh do the best nail polish and its dirt cheap too!

    go for bright colours

pale colours do not suit your skin tone
u can use pink, lilac, very light brown or metallic colours. dey r abt 拢3.50.
    http://www.boots.com/shop/product_enlarg鈥?/a>
coral can look stunning against darker skin tones. also very bright red
try this set from Revlon: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RARE-Revlon-Dark-P鈥?/a>
i think i nice purple colour would be nice. Not lilac a darker sort of purple. rimmel london is a nice make 60 second vinyl stars. you can get from superdrug for 拢3.29 and revlon is a nice make too
    loads =]

try a metallicy turqouise/blue.. bit extreme but looks really kwl..

neons would be good to standout? A ruby red, BLACK!!, hot pinks, deep purples, yellow aswell actually, a french manicure style, basically.. all colours suit and look good with a steady-hand, but just don't try white. its not a good look.

I don't know where you live, so i don't know what brands your familiar with, because im from the UK? but try avoiding the cheap stuff that goes gloopy quickly. But at the same time, don't spend loads! It will just come off in a few days anyway.

Omega 3's and dog's skin, nail, hair health?

Does Omega 3 help the dog's skin, nails, hair, teeth, etc?

Last month I HAD to change my dogs from a Fish and Potato flavor food to the same formula but a Chicken and Rice flavor because I literally could not find the fish flavor anywhere and they needed food. Just in the last couple weeks I noticed one of my dog's nails getting a bit brittle and I wonder if it has anything to do with me changing for fish to chicken and taking away some of the Omegas. Just wondering what everyone else's take on it is.Omega 3's and dog's skin, nail, hair health?
    Yes, it does.

Chicken is very low in omega 3 but high in omega 6.

Go get a liquid supplement from the pet store and blend it in with their food daily.

Can you use nail polish remover to take the band-aid adhesive off of someone's skin?

The *nurse* at my (5-year-old) son's pediatrician's office told me to use nail polish remover to get the sticky leftover adhesive from a band-aid off of my son's skin. This does not sound safe or healthy to me. Could some healthcare professionals confirm for me if this is right or not? Actually I would appreciate anyone's imput. I've never heard of that before. Thank you for your help!!!Can you use nail polish remover to take the band-aid adhesive off of someone's skin?
it probably wouldn't hurt, i mean you get it on your hands and fingers, and it would probably work.... use baby oil, or an oily lotion on a cotton ball... i work in the medical field and that's what I always recommend and patients tell me it works fine, and it's gentle on their skin. Can you use nail polish remover to take the band-aid adhesive off of someone's skin?
It may work, my family has always used baby oil and a q-tip, then you wash the oil off with soap and water.
Try using alcohol - that is what I do .
Soap gets almost everything off, in my experience. To be honest, if you just ignore the leftover adhesive then it will disappear in no time. It's a bit like when people write on their hands to remember things... the messages disappear after a day or two of normal washing, without special attention.
I have always used nail polish remover for myself and my children. If it concerns you, be sure to wash the area with soap afterwards.......
Yes, its accurate. You can use nail polish remover or rubbing alcohal. It doesnt hurt unless you get it in his cut.

Do hair, skin, and nail pills really make your hair grow faster?

If you have ever used hair, skin, and nail pills, how long did it take to see the results?Do hair, skin, and nail pills really make your hair grow faster?
    My favourites are at GNC:

GNC Women's Hair, Skin %26amp; Nails Program

(This one's the best because there are 3 bottles:

1 Women's Hair, Skin %26amp; Nails Formula with 3000 mcg of biotin

    2 Evening Primrose Oil 500

    3 Advanced Collagen Formula

It gives you a 30 day supply of them all for only $22.99)

    GNC Biotin 2500 mcg

    $14.99 for 60 day supply

    GNC MSM 1500 mg

    $18.99 for 120 day supply

(Methylsulfonylmethane. It's a food that comes from the ocean, is water soluble, and is not a drug, or a food additive. It is present in a variety of foods, including most fresh raw fruits and green vegetables, milk, meat, seafood, and some grains. MSM is required for healthy collagen and keratin which are essential for healthy hair, skin and nails. It makes your hair grow back even faster.)

    http://www.gnc.com/product/index.jsp?pro鈥?/a>

    GNC Triple Strength Fish Oil

    $19.99 for 60 day supply

    http://www.gnc.com/product/index.jsp?pro鈥?/a>

I take the first one (the program with the 3 bottles), MSM, and Fish Oil. My hair grows super fast and strong (2-3 inches a month!)

Note: If you don't want to take the above multivitamin and only want the Biotin (the vitamin you want), make sure you take some kind of multivitamin without Biotin in conjunction with the GNC 2500 mcg. Biotin will not work unless it's supplemented by other neccessary vitamins.Do hair, skin, and nail pills really make your hair grow faster?
on average your hair grows about half an inch in healthy people and your nails about 1/3 of an inch. The hair skin and nail pills have pretty much the same vitamins as prenatal pills so yes they do work not only does it make your hair grow a little faster it also helps with the shine and other qualities of the hair. you can expect to take them for awhile and you aren't going to see results ASAP, but it time. Oh and massaging your head only stimulates the blood flow which does help with the growth but you'll be massaging forever before you see results!
    YES.

A lot of people will say no because they're not patient enough for the vitamins to actually take their course. It's something you have to be consistent with. Will your hair be six inches longer after two weeks of taking them? Of course not.

But seriously, I'm really trying to grow out my hair, and I've been taking them for maybe six months. My hair used to be above my shoulders, and now it's down to my bra strap! Usually it's really fine and grows slowly, but the vitamins have not only taken care of that but also improved my overall health (just like any multivitamin would).

I get a month's worth from Target or Walmart for less than $10, if that helps at all.
I tried taking Biotin pills from the vitamin

store, and they did absolutely nothing for me

unfortunately. I would suggest not wasting

your money. I hear massaging your head several times

a day helps, i'm not sure though.

What nail polish color would suit my skin color?

    Gold, red, bronze, purple...not black.
    purple
French tips are always in, plus they go with everything.

Please rate my answer best! Thanks and good luck!
Deep, rich colors on short nails are HOT for winter 2007/2008. For you I think a dark purple or a dark red.
    red works...
    purpel
dark colors are definitely in, the celebrities are all wearing black nail polish right now. also colors like purple, gold, (metalics) and corals are in, and would suit your skin tone. short nails are in style right now too. :) RED is hot now also
    purple color.
I would definetly go with a dark, bold purple. And a cream color wouldn't be a bad idea either. You know, compliment your skin tones. A contrast with olive and beige.

Packing list for vacation? Travel skin, hair, and nail care?

Hi! I'm going on an Alaskan cruise (7 days) soon and I was wondering if you had any suggestions for a fashionable teenage girl to bring. I have a general idea of what to pack (formal outfits, active wear, etc.) but are there any cute things in paticular that I should bring? Also any skin care or hair and nail tips for traveling would be nice. Thanks you guys! I hope you answer this!

BTW I'm not into A%26amp;F, AE, Hollister, Aeropostale and stores like that. Thanks!Packing list for vacation? Travel skin, hair, and nail care?
Definitely bring some St. Ives invigorating apricot scrub! It smells amazing and works wonders! Bring a great moisturizer too, preferrably with SPF in it. Wash your face often because the salt content in the air might irritate your skin. If you use hair products bring some of those too but I suggest ditching the hair dryer and curling iron and all that. You want to look good but you don't want to spend all day in your room getting ready!

Bring cute clothes of course! Bring a cute outfit for at night if you want to go dancing. Bring a bikini or other type of swim suit. Bring some flats, flip flips, regular tennis shoes..... accesories, lots of those! Perfume! Sunglasses.

not just today, everyday and lots of it

I promise you will see the difference
Use garnier products for your hair, and try a deep moisterising treatment once a month. To keep nails and feet nice, try putting lotion on them as often as you can--before bed for example. also, socak your feet and hands in soapy warm water for about 1o min. then get all the junk from under them with a nail thing, (it's usually on the clippers) don't paint--it doesn't help. after getting junk out, moiusterize. mabye even twice. also, what really helps is if you take about two or three baths instead of showers a month.

    Hope that helped!

well eat lots of fish, rice, healthy stuff nothing oily or fried and put lotion on and keep nails clean and cut also ur hair clean every other day to keep it shiny.
Hey Red! I am an old lady who looks more than 10 years younger than most people my age. I am even mistaken for 30 at times (depending on stress level and sleep deprivation! LOL).

Having great skin, hair and nails begins with making permanent changes in your lifestyle. If it is important to you to look awesome, then you make it happen.

To get you on the fast track, you have been given some darn good advice. I would only add to what has been said to take a good B Complex vitamin and supplements with vitamins and minerals. Use no alcohol products on your hair...alcohol dries out the scalp and hair. Nourish your body and your skin and hair also get nourished. You can't dye the crapola out of your hair and expect it to look amazingly smooth. Fructise is a great over the counter product. The less the best for your skin. A good moisturizer, ease up on the makeup, skin needs to breathe. As for nails; keep them well manicured and use a clear or sheer polish to set them off!

You are what you eat! Peanut butter and nuts are great. Green foods are the best for skin and hair. Hydration is key too as is exercize. I wish you the best. If I can be of further assistance, don't hesitate to e-mail me. Nana

Amazingly i have an answer. I think. I have really healthy, big, nice looking nails and I eat a lot of peanut butter. I'm addicted to it. Ever since my ';phase'; started I've been noticing how much prettier my nails have been looking. Wow. Also try washing your hair every other day so it isnt all ';washed out';, and eat lots of fruits and veggies, and drink lots of water! Also lotion can help. I use it every night after my shower and man does my skin feel soft and look great!
Take prenatel(my spelling is awful) vitamins. They help all of those things.
get lots of protein for your hair, vitamin E and those fish oil pills are good for your skin, greasy foods make your skin more oily. get lots of calicium for your nails. i use sunsilk on my hair and it works great. it's always super soft. for the dandruff, be sure to massage some cleansing shampoo through your hair throughly, especially at the hair line. dont pick or scratch at your scalp, it just makes it worse. water always is great!! good luck!
Water. Drink plenty of water everyday.
go to walmart or drug mart in the vitamin/supplement aisle and buy BIOTIN!!! The back of the bottle will tell you its specifically for skin, hair and nails to make them stronger!

Does it really make your hair grow long and clear your skin and make your nails grow?Question about Hair, skin and nail vitamins?
Well they help but they don't work miracles. It's only part of the package. You need eat right, exercise, live healthy etc. If your body has a lot of toxins, the vitamins will work better after you detox. You must also take good care of your skin and hair. You should use natural products that don't harm your skin or hair.

just wondering before i place my order, i desperately want my hair to grow and for my skin to be clearer but do these vitamins actually work or is it just another money making scheme?

thanks xxxxxDo skin, hair and nail vitamins really work?
Without looking at any clinical studies, my answer would be: they work some, but you're probably just as well off getting regular vitamins.

I've tried a couple, most notably Murad's clear skin supplements, and I did see an improvement, but not enough of one to warrant an extra $42 a month. I just take a regular multivitamin and pay more attention to getting some of the things in those supplements in my diet--it's supposed to work better if you get it from the food directly, anyway. The Murad website quotes InStyle as promoting:

    FOODS THAT HELP ACNE

    ';Bright red and orange fruits and vegetables have beta-carotene, which your body converts to oil-reducing vitamin A, explains L.A. dermatologist Howard Murad. Green leafy vegetables contain vitamin B6, which minimizes swelling, so pimples are reduced, he adds.';

    鈥擨nStyle

You might also look at the book ';The Clear Skin Diet.'; Like a lot of diet books, it promotes large lifestyle changes, but don't feel like you have to follow all the advice. Making a few simple changes can help drastically--the most common thing I've heard is that cutting down on dairy can reduce acne.

As for hair, I believe that vitamins A and E are commonly reccomended; just be careful not to overdose.Do skin, hair and nail vitamins really work?
I take them every day. They've really made my hair grow in thicker and longer. Not sure about my face, though. Probably the other vitamins in them have helped.

Do ';hair, skin, and nail'; vitamins make your hair grow faster, or just healthier?

Both. I've used one for 8 months and my hair grew pretty decently, my nails quit breaking and my breakouts eased up. All three grew strongers and healthier looking and the hair and nails grew faster.Do ';hair, skin, and nail'; vitamins make your hair grow faster, or just healthier?
I don't know about skin and nails but you should buy a reconstructor for your hair. If it's unhealthy and damaged the reconstructor will replace the amino acids lost during coloring, heating or everyday sun and surf. Nothing can make your hair grow faster but the reconstructor sure comes close enough. By replacing the amino acids removed suring styling it allows your hair to grow healthier and faster (so it seems). Get regular trims (every 6-8 weeks) and use a good conditioner.Do ';hair, skin, and nail'; vitamins make your hair grow faster, or just healthier?

i use it all the time lolz! What makeup, nail polish, colors, ect would look good with my skin tone?
You are really pretty! I would keep your makeup very natural. A sheer foundation or mineral makeup would be good if you have any discoloration on the face. Your eyebrows are really good so there no need to fill them in further. If you want a more exotic eye try MAC satin taupe. It looks good on every skin tone. A classic pinky beige polish would look really subtle. I personally like to experiment with lavenders and dark colors a lot. A berry colored lipgloss would enhance your lips for night and a light pink is good for day/school.
You are beautiful! Check out youtube for some makeup tutorials to freshen up your routine. I always feel that natural colors are best, cause you don't have to guess. But there's nothing wrong with throwing some color on your eyes, and lips.
    You're beautiful!

Try some softer pinks. :) I would advise against heavy makeup--you don't need it!

  • I broke my nail about 1/2 way down to where my skin is exposed?

I did it by beeping at a driver who didnt see me in their blind spot and I hit the wheel the wrong way. It is far less sore than it was on Friday, but still leaks puss if I hit it by accident. It looks red and inflamed and some blood is stuck on the sides of the nail under the skin. How do I get that blood out? Do you think it's okay to cover it with a fake nail so it wont hurt so badly if I hit it?I broke my nail about 1/2 way down to where my skin is exposed?
clean it with a q-tip with just warm water at first to loosen the dried blood, then use peroxide and do the same again w/a q-tip...it will ';bubble'; and probably sting a bit...once the bubbles have stopped, rinse it under warm water, pat dry and place a band-aid over it...if your really worried, call your doctor or go to an immediate care location and have them look at itI broke my nail about 1/2 way down to where my skin is exposed?
I slammed my thumb about 3 years back in a car door. The nail died, and it was horribly bruised and bloody underneath. When my mom took me to the doctor, he just checked to make sure there were no fractures. It is best to leave the blood alone. Try not to touch and push it though so it can start to heal. My nail broke, and eventually fell off. It took about two years for it to look like normally again in my case. It probably would not be wise to put a fake nail on it, the glue might not be the best thing if it is actually pussing. If it keeps oozing I would get some bactroban (prescription) it is a good preventative for bacteria infections so they don't it worse.
DO NOT put a fake nail over it. If it is infected, you'll just have to get it removed anyway, and that will hurt. Red and inflamed are two signatures of infection, does it feel hot also. If it does you have all three signs of an infection. Time to use that health insurance.
    Ouch.......that hurt.....

I wouldn't put a fake nail on it.....it needs fresh air to heal. One idea is bathe it in warm salt-water then cover it with a clean bandage......not a Band-Aid.
Use superglue!! It's kind of like a fake skin. It will keep the nail on and close up the wound so it can heal itself.

Don't put a fake nail on though, it might cause an infection and will hurt even worse if you bend or break it!

Why does the skin peel at the back of the finger, near the nail?

Near the nail, just underneath it, the skin will peel abit, why does that happen?

Also, are there any ways to stop this from happening???Why does the skin peel at the back of the finger, near the nail?
Mine did that and then i realised that I was exposing my fingertips to acids (squeezing lemons, peeling oranges etc.) which was stripping my skin of it's natural oils particularly in this area where the nail base acts as a trap. Hand cream helps along with laying off the citrus, and/or cleaning chemicals (washing up liquid or perfumed soaps)Why does the skin peel at the back of the finger, near the nail?
I dont know i dont have that problem
You need to use an orange stick to push back the cuticles- otherwise as the nail grows the cuticle is stretched and eventually 'pings' back in little ragnails.
problems with your nails may mean there are problems elsewhere. you may be deficient in something. or your diet could trigger nail problems.
yes simple and effective-- all it is - is dry skin

Aply a little dab of baby oil to the area twice a day
my husband has that problem but it dry skin just use like extra strength dry shin lotion it will go away in about 2 or 3 days

Is it aright to use dollor general hair, nail and skin vitamin?

will it grow fasterIs it aright to use dollor general hair, nail and skin vitamin?
it's fine. it probably won't make anything grow faster.

Nail Polish Color for Skin with Olive Undertone?

What nail polish colors go well with skin that has an olive undertone? I haven't gotten much sun lately so right now its a little paler than usual.Nail Polish Color for Skin with Olive Undertone?
My skin is light beige with strong olive and rosy undertones. I like a fuchsia, purple, red or berry color. I usually go a little lighter on my nails and deeper on my toes.

There is one nail polish called ';Tiki Punch'; at the nail salon and it is beautiful on light skin w/olive undertones. It looks good when our skin is tan or very pale too. I don't know the brand name, but maybe you can ask if they have it. It is very popular at this time of year.

French manicures always look nice too.Nail Polish Color for Skin with Olive Undertone?
