Severe nail and skin biting?

all my life i've bitten my nails. but it's not just my nails, i can quite literally peel sheets of skin from my fingers without making them bleed. the result is my hands look awful, my fingers are always raw right down to the first creases in the backs of my fingers. i've tried all the usual remedies, including that bitter fluid you paint on, but nothing works. i hate my hands but i cant stop biting, what do i do?Severe nail and skin biting?
The best thing to do is just think of how pretty your nails and fingers would look if you stopped biting them, and started taking care of them. Love your body, and be kind to it. It's a little difficult to break the habit of a lifetime, I know, but it's not impossible. There are lots of kits for nail and hand care in places like Boots, buy some nice things to treat your hands and nails, and start a new habit of treating them with TLC.Severe nail and skin biting?

I've been told it's an iron deficiancy or obsessive compulsive.


if you sucked your thumb for example, it can be a coping mechanism you learned as a kid. otherwise take some iron pills:]
I've bitten for as long as I can remember. It's a very bad habit I want to have control over. It helps to keep busy.. I forget then.

the nail is growing out of the nail bed and becoming thick and growing out of form..I have to constantly clean at my job at Starbucks with different cleaning products and my hands are in and out of water most of the time during my shift..they really hurt..is this a problem that needs urgent care , any solutions? thanks emMy nail cuticles are inflamed and the skin around my nails are receeding?
i would recommend going to a nail salon. not like a cheap one on the corner, but a recognized, professional nail salon or to someones self-owned do it at home salon. they work with nails 24/7 and may know how to help relieve not only the pain, but transform youre weird growing nail. feel better and thanks for keeping good fraps clean :)

You better not be a dude, I SWEAR if you're a dude and youre asking this I'll get so mad. If you're a girl, girls with those shiny clear nail polish are hella hot. If I see those fingers I just want to start dating her, but then I'm picky so once I see the face I might say NAH.

fill the sink with warm/hot water with some nice body or hand soap this is just to try to get the skin to relax take a nail clipper and cut the nail (if its long if its short skip it) then take twezzers and put softly and try to really really softly jiggle it then when you get it out take a disinfectant like polsysporn or what ever you do to disinfect it [before you disinfect soak again]I got a splinter under my nail and its in my skin how do i get it out?
i hate when that happens! Get some tweezers and pick it out that's the easiest way! sorry feel better!
if there is a little piece of it sticking out from your skin, you may be abe to pull on it with some tweasers. if it is all the way in, you will probably have to wait until it pushes itself out.
If you could get some duck tape in between your nail and skin it should pull it out,

uhm, I don't understand your question but you can put Vaseline around your nail and then nail polish won't go over.
