It could be a plantar wart, which are contagious and you can get them on the bottom, side of foot on tips of toes. I would see your doctor, to get an opinion. They do spread. You can catch them in gyms, walking barefoot. Nothing to panic about, but get a doctor's opinion.
Sounds to me like it is a verruca, you can pass them to each other a simple treatment will clear it up, you will get this at your local pharmacy.
Just go to your dermatologist.
