How do i get a splinter out between my finger nail and skin on finger?

Earlier today i got a splinter on my finger (next to pinky on the right...if that helps). the splinter is between my finger nail and my skin on the finger. I can't get it out! It hurts.How do i get a splinter out between my finger nail and skin on finger?
Get a sewing needle. Put it over a flame on the stove first to sterilize it so you don't get an infection and then work it out. That should work.How do i get a splinter out between my finger nail and skin on finger?
The sewing needle idea is good if you don't have an extremely fine pair of tweezers.......but first i'd soak your finger in some warm water with dish soap in it. The splinter will absorb the water... get bigger and hopefully be easier to get out.
